Kwille's Wife's Growing Belly - The Third Trimester

Well I made it!! Its been a LONG few months but I'm on the last leg through my journey of pregnancy.

Week 28: A pretty quiet week, nothing much happened. Kwille and I prepared for our baby-moon and my brother's wedding in Walt Disney World. I was so happy that the dress I picked out for the wedding fit, considering I bought it back in June. JcPenney's summer dresses are awesome, the fabric is stretchy, styles are nice and the prices were pretty good too. The dress I picked out wasn't even a maternity dress and it fit!

Week 29: We arrived in WDW! I survived the flight to Orlando, luckily I was able to get on with the old folks and small children, so Kwille and I had fantastic seats. Bwille didn't mind the airplane ride at all. This was Kwille's first trip to "the World" and I was little worried that it might be a little too much for him. Thankfully he was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't as bad as he thought it was going to be.

The first day, we went hotel hopping with my parents. This is kind of a tradition with my family, we hop on the monorail or boat and visit the different resorts around "the World" grounds. This is really relaxing and we get so many decorating and landscaping ideas to take home with us. We had lunch at the Polynesian resort (Kona Cafe) where we got to try their new recipe... Macadamia Nut butter. This is absolutely fantastic with sweet potato fries and on a hamburger (so my dad says). After lunch we headed back for a nap before our big evening at Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party.

Mom and I
We arrived at the Magic Kingdom ready to trick or treat and see the awesome fall decorations. We rode the Jungle Cruise, Pirates of Caribbean and saw the Country Bear Jamboree before we split up from my parents.  After Kwille and I had some chow in Frontier-land, we headed to the Haunted Mansion! After getting off the ride, it decided to down pour for about an hour so Kwille and I took the opportunity to look at some shops and trick or treat (yes... we really did get candy given to us), we made our way to Tomorrow-land to meet up with my parents. On the way we discovered that "the World" was giving raisins away as treats... really? Who wants raisins? Anyways, once we met up with mom and dad, we rode the People Mover, Buzz Lightyear (Kwille loved this ride because he got to shoot things), and saw the Monsters' Inc Comedy Show where Kwille got "picked on" - his face appeared on the video screen and the caption read... "Needs a hug"... ha! I was able to last about 5 1/2 hours at the park which I thought was pretty good.

The next day we headed to Epcot for the Food and Wine festival. It was pouring down rain the entire time, Kwille and I were soaked, but we had a great time and ate some great food. We made it through the rain for about 5 hours before we headed back to the hotel to rest for evening.

Our third day in WDW, we spent shopping!! I love Downtown Disney, there is so much to do and look at. After eating at Wolfgang's Cafe, my mom and I split up from my dad and Kwille. Kwille and my dad went to the sports bar for beers and football while my mom and I raided the Christmas store. I was able to get Bwille's mickey mouse ears, stocking and first Christmas ornament personalized. Then we went to the World of Disney... I almost had a heart attack, I wanted to buy everything I saw... in the end Bwille ended up with all of the pink outfits from me (all of the red Minnie ones from my mom), 3 stuffed animals to add to her huge collection, and some toys for the tub. Once I met back up with Kwille, he looked at the large number of bags then to me and then shook his head... he was very wise not to say anything smart to me.

That night we had the rehearsal dinner at Boma the African buffet at the Animal Kingdom lodge.

Our last day in "the World" was the wedding day. Before leaving for the wedding, Kwille and I got breakfast at the cafe at our hotel. I noticed that my belly had grown over the few days we had been on vacation because I wasn't able to sit as close to the table as I normally could... and I spilled maple syrup on my dress because of the new distance. (While taking photos before the ceremony my brother kept asking why he smelt pancakes...)
We arrived by limo to the Wedding Pavilion at the Grand Floridian resort overlooking the Cinderella's castle.  Our family was the first to arrive so we took our family photos.  I thought I was doing okay emotionally until I had to get in the photos with my brother... pregnancy hormones took over and I was a blubbering mess.

Throughout the ceremony I was a mess... normally I would be a little teary eyed but this was nuts. Kwille just kept looking at me and asking me if I was okay. The ceremony was great, the bride and groom looked great.

After the ceremony, we headed to the Grand Floridian resort for cake. Then it was off to the airport to fly back home. We ended up having a great vacation, Kwille and I needed to get away, it had been a LONG summer and this was just what we needed.

Once back in KC, I went for my 29 week ultrasound and we found out Bwille weighs 3lbs 5oz.
Bwille's profile

I also had the privilege of collecting my urine for 24 straight hours!! Both doctors wanted me to do this to get a baseline of all of my counts just in case I became preclamptic in my later weeks. There's nothing like collecting your own urine in a container... word of advice, keep your urine collecting to one bathroom and make other people use other bathrooms if you can. I was so afraid Kwille was going to contaminate my collection.

Week 30:  This week we went to our last baby class. This time it was only 3 hours and it went over what happens after the baby is born.  Kwille was on his best behavior this time around, but when I went to ask him what he got out of the class he said and I quote, "I learned that both of you will be wearing diapers as soon as the baby is born". I just looked at him... really that's what you learned, uh oh well I guess its better than nothing.

30 weeks begins weekly ultrasounds that I need to have to monitor Bwille's activity and growth. Because of the cysts in her left kidney, they want to keep an eye on her. They will be measuring her amniotic fluid amount, her practice breathing and overall body movement.

Here are Bwille's 30 week ultrasound photos:
On top is her profile... with her "Simpsons" nose and the bottom pic is her right foot, she's stretching her toes!

Week 31: This week was pretty uneventful except that I found out Bwille has a full head of hair!! You can see the hair on the ultrasound, the tech showed me the top of Bwille's head and it was a halo of glowing squiggles floating around her head.

Oh, I also feel like I blew up this week... Kwille has to put my tennis shoes on for me because bending over has become a struggle. One night this week I couldn't catch my breath while laying in bed... yes laying in bed.

Week 32: My brother and his wife had their wedding reception this weekend.  On the day of the party, my mom and I went over to decorate... everything was going good, I felt great until I sat down on the concrete floor and then realized I couldn't get back up. My mom couldn't stop laughing but did offer to help me get up.

We had a little bit of drama during this week's ultrasound... Bwille was fast asleep. The tech had to wake her up and that meant rolling me to side, then back on my back, then to my other side. I also got beat with the wand the tech uses during the ultrasound, that was great... she kept pounding me in the belly until Bwille finally woke up. Once Bwille woke up, the ultrasound was focused on her face... she opened her mouth and it looked like she was yelling or crying. I really don't blame her, I wouldn't want to be woken up during my afternoon nap either.

Later on I paid for waking her up, she wouldn't stop kicking and jabbing my in the ribs for the rest of the evening.

Week 33: Whew... its getting harder and harder to walk and get around this week. But overall I feel pretty good still. This week we had our growth analysis during Bwille's ultrasound... the estimated weight of Bwille was 6lbs at 33weeks... at the rate she is growing I may have a toddler at 39 weeks!!

Week 34: This week, I had my work and family/friends baby showers, both were so much fun and Kwille and I are thankful for all of the gifts we received.

The day after the shower, it was like Christmas morning, I got up early (still in my pjs) and unwrapped everything again. Below is the result of morning escapade...

I went to my doctor in the early part of the week and was informed that I needed to start working from home since my blood pressure was really high. I was so excited to hear the doctor say that!

Week 35: My first full week working from home. Kwille has me on a no drive rule so my grandparents and mom are my "drivers". Its been great staying at home, I actually get more work done at home than I do at the office. This weeks ultrasound showed Bwille's hair actually flowing, looks like we might need some pony tail holders sooner than I think.

Week 36: Pretty uneventful week... except for not sleeping well at night and feeling as big as a house.

Week 37: This was a rough week, I was working crazy hours (10+ hrs a day) and I was not feeling well at all. We had our growth analysis done again and the estimated weight of Bwille was 7lbs 14oz.

Week 38: On the first day of my 38th week, I went to my doctors visit and look what I got...
Corbin Mae was born on December 9, 2011 at 4:45pm. She weighed 6lbs 11oz and was 19.5in long.
